When we built our Swine Eleven 993 Project, we searched the market for a high-quality harness / roll bar like those found in modern GT cars. What we found were heavy thick steel bars with unsightly MiG welds and not in line with the high-quality motorsports grade products we’re used to. We set out to design our own bar and partnered with Titan Motorsports to build a high quality chromoly bar utilizing Tig welding for our car. Starting with 1.50” chromoly the bar is bend using a CAD driven bender to ensure consistent dimensions. From there it is fitted in a specialized jig and additional bars are notched and fitted in place. The jig mimics the interior of the vehicle and securely holds the assembly during the welding process, ensuring dimensional accuracy and a great fit when installed in the vehicle.
The bars are offered in 2 versions, one for standard interior with the raised quarter panels (pictures in Silver) and a separate version for cars equipped with RS carpet or gutted interiors (pictured in white). The standard version features a removable lower bar with interlocking tubing clamps, this allows the cross bar to be installed separately from the main hoop allowing for easy installation of the factory rear quarter panels. The RS version goes straight across and does not feature the interlocking clamps as it can be installed in one piece. The bars are come powder coated in several standard colors at no additional cost, for those looking for something more custom we offer a custom color option for $250. Customers who chose the custom color option will need to email us so that we can discuss available options. We anticipate Standard bars will take 3-4 weeks for production, with custom colors increasing lead time slightly.
