Why choose the FDM Short Shift Kit?
The FD Short shifter kit is a complete bolt on kit. Just remove the original shift lever/fork and forward rod, and bolt in the FDM SSK.
Why replace the forward rod cup/ball with heim joints?
The original 964/993 forward rod utilizes a cup and ball joint that are a press fit. As the years go on, the factory cup/ball joint gets loose and sloppy, causing a less precise shift feel. When the cup fails, it will leave you stranded on the road. Buy your Fister Design SSK today!
NOTE: On 2WD cars earlier than 1992, you will need to modify the shift box and install newer style bearing sleeves (shift box bushings)
